SHINE YOUR LIGHT EXPERIENCE PROCESS
I will handpick up to 7-12 homeschooled seniors from the DFW area to represent the Class of 2025!
This initiative allows me to invest in seniors by redirecting funds from print and digital advertising. I offer them gifts, stunning photos, a memorable experience, prayer, and the opportunity to form new friendships.
My goal is to make this experience enjoyable, fostering connections among the seniors and deepening their relationship with each other and with YAH. By the end of their senior year, I hope each senior forms lasting friendships and their light shines even brighter.

What is a senior rep?
A senior rep going into their senior year of highschool who chooses to represent only one photography business until graduation. In exchange for representing Danielle Smallwood Photography through social media and word of mouth, you will receive FREE photo shoots, and group shoots throughout your entire senior year of highschool. Plus, you’ll receive additional perks!
Am I required to come to all the group shoots?
You’re not obligated to attend the free group shoots, but we highly recommend it for the complete rep experience and to generate new content for your social media and for sharing with friends and family. Your individual free shots will be taken during these sessions. If you can’t make it to a shoot, please post from a previous session when other team members are sharing images from the latest shoot. The only required shoot to attend is the first intro/welcome shoot in September.
How much does it cost to be a senior rep?
The only cost to become a senior rep is booking your senior session with Danielle Smallwood Photography plus an additional $100 Shine Your Light Experience fee. All other photo shoots during your junior and senior years are completely free. Full senior packages range from $350 – $550 plus tax, with a payment plan available.
So, the ONLY expenses as a senior rep are your personal senior photo shoot and the $100 Shine Your Light Experience fee. There are no other fees. Hair and makeup are optional add-ons for any photo shoot (I can provide artist recommendations and pricing if you’re interested), which I recommend for the best results.
If Senior Rep refers 3-5 senior shoots that pay their booking deposit by December 31, 2024, your senior session could be free based on session type chosen.
What are the requirements to apply?
To qualify, you must:
- Be currently homeschooled in the DFW area.
- Be graduating with the Class of 2025.
- Be available to participate in the first styled mandatory shoot
- Be willing to share images from every shoot we do together on your and/or your parents’ social media platforms.
- Be outgoing, interested in making new friends.
- Be willing to step out of your comfort zone and take posing direction from the photographer.
- Attend monthly online Google Meet meetings (Photoshoot planning session & Bible Study)
Can I shoot with other portrait photographers?
A senior rep is someone who commits to sharing and promoting a specific photography business throughout their senior year in exchange for fun experiences, new memories, beautiful photoshoots, and stunning images to cherish forever.
As a senior rep, you cannot post, share, or tag photos from any other portrait or senior photographer until your contract ends. You will be required to sign a contract to join the 2025 Senior Rep Team. If the contract is breached, it will be voided, and you will lose access to all senior rep perks and images. If you plan to shoot with other portrait/senior photographers during your senior year, being a senior rep may not be the best fit for you.
How many photoshoots do we get to be a part of?
All senior reps are invited to join in on all the free group photoshoots, which will include individual images and a few group shots. For the Class of 2025, I’m planning at least one super stylized/theme shoot, while the rest will be cute, more casual portrait sessions—unless we collectively decide on more stylized themes.
We’ll kick things off with a Fall intro/welcome to the team shoot in September. Your individual booked senior session can be in spring, summer, or fall. Plus, we’ll have group shoots in winter and spring, and an end-of-the-year/grad group shoot. You’re guaranteed at least 4 free photoshoots throughout your senior year!
Our first FREE photo shoot will be this September. Reps will receive 1-8×10 print from their photo shoot, 5-10 edited and watermarked downloads to post to social media, as well as 25 custom rep modeling cards to give to their friends.
How can I earn senior rep referral perks?

I’ll send you a fun questionnaire filled with questions about you, your hobbies, dreams, and future plans. Your answers, along with pictures from our session, will be featured on DanielleSmallwood.com/SYLE. The blog post will highlight you as a hand-selected senior representative for the studio. It’s a cool way to showcase your story and another great perk of being a senior rep!
